Excellence in education!

Every year the teachers from all over East Texas who are involved in the East TX State Fair Academic Rodeo can be nominated by their principals or teachers for the Outstanding Educator of the Year. This year Susan Sanchez, the GT specialist from Brown Elementary and Stanton-Smith Elementary was awarded with this prestigious award!

Mrs. Sanchez spends hours of her time each year coaching students, organizing her two campuses sponsors and going to many different competitions. She was nominated by her principal at Brown Elementary, Mrs. McCarter, who recognizes Mrs. Sanchez’s hard work and devotion to students.
