Dr. Casey Whittle named Lone Finalist for Superintendent

DR. WHITTLE NAMED LONE FINALIST

Whitehouse, TX: The Whitehouse ISD Board of Trustees approved Dr. Casey Whittle as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Schools during its April 15 meeting.

With nearly twenty-five years dedicated to public education, Dr. Whittle brings a depth of experience and knowledge to WISD. Dr. Whittle has served as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources at Wylie ISD since 2020.

Before assuming his current position, Dr. Whittle served as the principal of Canyon High School in Comal ISD for three years. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in Wylie ISD, where he held various teaching and administrative leadership roles, including two years as Executive Director of Secondary Curriculum. Dr. Whittle began his public education career in 2000 as a U.S. History teacher at Stephenville Junior High and High School in Stephenville ISD. He also taught high school English in Garland and Ennis ISDs and coached football in Stephenville, Garland, Ennis, and Wylie ISDs

Dr. Whittle received his Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University, his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Abilene Christian University. He also holds his superintendent’s certification, principal certification (EC-12), and other teaching certificates. 

Dr. Whittle and his wife, Emily, a school counselor, met at Abilene Christian University during their time as student-athletes. They are the proud parents of two children, Keaton (13) and Adelyn (12). 

As per Texas law, the district will observe a 21-day waiting period before the Board can formally hire.
