Student Pledge

Whitehouse High School senior Renna Watson led the Board and attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. 
 

Recognitions

National Merit Scholarship Program - Commended Student

Whitehouse High School Senior Renna Watson has been named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. This recognition is based on her exceptional PSAT/NMSQT performance and places Renna among a select group of academically talented students recognized through the National Merit Scholarship Program.

College Board National Recognition Program

This program recognizes high-achieving students for outstanding academic performance and provides them with an academic honor they can share with colleges and universities as part of the application process. Students may earn recognition based on their performance on the PSAT Assessments and/or AP Exams, along with maintaining a high cumulative GPA.
 

Open Forum

INFORMATION ITEMS

Program Highlight - Whitehouse ISD Theatre

Mrs. Clemens gave us a look inside the Theatre program and some of the great things her students are doing! She shared highlights from recent productions and past competitions, along with a preview of what students are working toward next: The Sound of Music, coming this fall!
She also shared that all students are encouraged to audition for Theatre productions. Students do not have to be enrolled in a Theatre class to get involved, making the stage and the many opportunities behind it!

ESL Annual Report for 2026

Mr. Tamez presented the 2026 ESL Program Annual Report, highlighting the strong work supporting our emergent bilingual students across Whitehouse ISD. He shared program accomplishments, student progress, and current goals, including efforts to help campuses better use student language and academic data to guide instruction. He also highlighted the continued focus on strengthening students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, while equipping teachers with practical strategies to support students each day.

PREP Update

Dr. Taylor provided an update on Whitehouse ISD’s Preparing and Retaining Educators through Partnership (PREP) Program Allotment and the work underway to help prepare and retain the next generation of great educators. She highlighted current partnership opportunities including Grow Your Own, Preservice Residence and Mentorship, as well as new opportunities the district is exploring through traditional and alternative certification pathways. Through these partnerships, WISD is working to develop future educators, support them as they enter the profession and build a strong pipeline of teachers who are prepared to serve our students for years to come.
 

TEA Intruder Detection and Exterior Door Audit Results

Mr. Brown offered an update to our Texas Education Agency Intruder Detection and Exterior Door Audit.
 

Public Hearing On Schools FIRST

Overview of Schools FIRST

Mr. Ray provided an overview of the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) and Whitehouse ISD’s continued commitment to strong financial management.
WISD earned a Superior Achievement rating, scoring 90 out of 100 points and meeting all required pass/fail and ceiling indicators. Even more impressive, the district has earned the highest available School FIRST rating for all 24 years of the program. The report reflects WISD’s continued focus on responsible financial management and stewardship of district resources while supporting the needs of our students and staff.

REPORTS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT

Dr. Whittle recognized October as Principals Month and thanked the outstanding principals across Whitehouse ISD for their leadership, dedication, and continued service to our students, staff, and families.
