WISD 4th Nine Weeks Grading Plan

At the School Board Meeting on May 11th, Whitehouse ISD announced its grade modification plan due to COVID-19. Although district staff and administrators did a fantastic job of connecting students to the internet, providing technology for online work, and providing online instruction, there are still some students who for various reasons were unable to participate with online learning. The plan below provides both grace and accountability in calculating the fourth nine weeks average. Several plans from other districts were vetted by WISD staff prior to developing this plan. This plan provides incentive to those students who are engaged with online learning.
