Update: Free meals offered at Whitehouse ISD

Whitehouse ISD is happy to announce The U.S. Department of Agriculture provided an extension for our district to continue to operate the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) waiver until the last day of the school year (May 27, 2021). This waiver allows all children to receive a breakfast and a lunch daily at no cost.

Remote learner’s may continue to pick up their breakfast and lunch bundle at no cost by visiting the Whitehouse High School Bus Loop located at:

901 East Main Street, between the hours of 12:45-1:10 pm. Parents of remote learner’s are encouraged to pre-order meals through www.schoolcafe.com no later than 8:30 am each day.

Families that qualify for the free and reduced meal program by income and other alternatives such as Foster, Migrant, SNAP (Food Assistance Program) should submit their meal application as soon as possible in order to qualify for a second round of Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT). The P-EBT is a benefit for families that are approved for the free and reduced meal program to be issued an EBT card (like a debit card), for the purchase of groceries and allows funds up to $285 per student. More information regarding the P-EBT benefit will be provided to qualifying families when information is released by The Department of Human Services.

Visit https://www.schoolcafe.com/WHITEHOUSEISD to apply for the free or reduced meal program or contact the School Nutrition Office to request a meal application by mailed.
